GreenDigest Swine is a natural feed additive for pigs, based on micronized activated clinoptilolite. It improves gut health, reduces post-weaning diarrhea, binds mycotoxins and heavy metals, and supports better feed conversion and ammonia reduction — with proven ECOCERT certification.
GreenDigest Swines aims to improve intestinal health and performance in pigs, while making the farm more sustainable. We can present it to a pig farmer like this: it's like giving your pigs a daily “digestive protector” that absorbs toxins and stabilizes the gut, improving feed conversion and reducing odors.
What does GreenDigest do in pigs?
Captures toxins and pathogens: When mixed into the feed (about 1% of the typical ration), clinoptilolite passes through the gastrointestinal tract without being absorbed, acting locally. In that transit, it traps unwanted molecules: mycotoxins (fungal toxins in the feed), harmful bacteria and toxic products of metabolism (such as ammonia). It works like an internal filter: it sequesters the harmful before it affects the animal and, in return, releases useful minerals such as potassium or magnesium. This results in pigs with cleaner intestines, less overloaded livers and a stronger immune system. In fact, in studies with contaminated diets, clinoptilolite was able to decrease the negative effect of aflatoxins on piglet growth by up to 70%, protecting organs such as the liver from typical intoxication lesions.
Improves digestion and absorption: GreenDigest acts as a stabilizer of intestinal pH, avoiding acidosis and post-weaning diarrhea frequent in swine. It also slightly delays intestinal transit, allowing a better absorption of nutrients and water along the intestine. What does the farmer notice? Less diarrhea in weaned piglets, calmer animals and higher daily weight gain due to better utilization of each kilogram of feed. Even a +5% weight gain has been documented in fattening pigs using GreenDigest, associated with better feed-to-meat conversion.
Reduces on-farm odors and emissions: By capturing ammonia in the intestine and manure, GreenDigest helps make slurry less odorous and polluting. Field studies on pig farms show ~25-30% reductions in ambient ammonia emissions when clinoptilolite is supplemented in the diet. In one actual case, NH₃ levels in shed dropped from peaks of ~20 ppm to ~14 ppm with GreenDigest. Less ammonia means a healthier environment for animals (less coughing and respiratory irritation) and for workers, plus fewer odor complaints from neighbors. In addition, there is a reduction of nitrogen in the excreta, which facilitates compliance with environmental regulations.
Main benefits for pig farmers:
Reinforced intestinal health: Less diarrhea and digestive disorders in piglets, which improves survival and homogeneous growth of the flock.
Feed detoxification: Captures mycotoxins (e.g. avoids aflatoxin effects) and heavy metals from feed, protecting livestock from chronic intoxication.
Better feed conversion: Higher nutrient absorption = pigs that grow more with the same feed. For example, in fattening, savings of 1-2 days of feeding per pig have been seen, reaching target weight earlier. This means lower feed cost per kilo produced.
Less emissions and odors: Significant reduction of ammonia and other gases in the houses, improving animal welfare and working conditions. The resulting slurry retains more usable nitrogen as fertilizer (less volatilizes), increasing its fertilizer value.
Certified organic: GreenDigest is approved by ECOCERT as an additive for organic livestock, guaranteeing that it is natural, without antibiotics or prohibited chemicals.
