What does GreenDigest do in pigs?

• Captures toxins and pathogens: When mixed into the feed (about 1% of the typical ration), clinoptilolite passes through the gastrointestinal tract without being absorbed, acting locally. In that transit, it traps unwanted molecules: mycotoxins (fungal toxins in the feed), harmful bacteria and toxic products of metabolism (such as ammonia). It works like an internal filter: it sequesters the harmful before it affects the animal and, in return, releases useful minerals such as potassium or magnesium. This results in pigs with cleaner intestines, less overloaded livers and a stronger immune system. In fact, in studies with contaminated diets, clinoptilolite was able to decrease the negative effect of aflatoxins on piglet growth by up to 70%, protecting organs such as the liver from typical intoxication lesions.
